Triple L Ranch is in Kanaio, Maui and was created by the DuPonte family, whose goal was to raise pure bread
angus beef. Today, the ranch has grown into so much more. Not only do they offer wonderful food, but fun trail
rides as well. The terrain in Kanaio ranges from lush mountains, to open “savannah”, to private beaches below.
There are several species of plants that are unique to Kanaio, such as the "Kiawe" tree, several types of long
grasses, giant cinder cones, and the legendary “seven graves.” There’s plenty to see while riding at Triple L
Ranch!
Trail rides at Triple L are kept small, 2-4 people (although they can accommodate bigger groups, too), so
everyone feels comfortable and important. The guides, Kawika, Waylen and Christine, are experienced horseback
riders and will make sure everyone stays safe and has fun!
They run two 1.5-2 hour rides per day, at 9 am and 4 pm. Depending on the rider’s preference, you can either
ride through the lower range, or a mountain trail ride.
Triple L also offers a half day 9 am-2 pm ride down to Kanaio beach for swimming, stories of the past, and
lunch. Lunch consists of a 100% natural beef burger from the ranch.
For safety reasons, the ranch does not allow children under 12. They recommend bringing a light jacket or
sweater on the ride, as the climate can change depending on elevation. The cost for their tours ranges from
$100 per person, to $250 per person for the beach trip.
